i completed this amp yesterday. it's a plexi preamp built virtually identical to the 1970 1959 schematic on the web with the .0022uF and .0047uF caps on the bright channel across VR2 between Pin 1 and 2.

Single coils , first at noon then at 3 o'clock ...

This is my Baby Will with 100k grid stoppers and a 500p cut cap, Volume on 10, Tone on 2 with my Tele with a GFS Alnico in front and generic P-90 in back going front to back going through a WGS Green Back clone in my Mesa F-30 cab mic'd with a CAD D189 SM58 knock off about a foot away from the center of the coil...
